Exodus Attacks!Reporter: Camadris the Scholar. We have all, I am sure, seen the strange
clockwork miners working around the land this past week. We knew, of course,
that they were the work of Exodus, the daemon machine - for who else can
make such intricate clockwork, such complicated systems?
A group of brave adventurers set
out to the Exodus Dungeon, to find out what this strange machine was. To
their shock, they found it was, indeed, receiving a steady trickle of ore
from the strange miners! Without warning, the Forge stated it required six
hundred more ore A quick examination revieled that it had over 300, 000 ore
gathered! With little else to do, the
adventurers decided to wait for the Forge to finish it's work. They reasoned
that whatever had been created would, eventually, be slain - and the forge
may be weaker when it had finished its work. Rapidly our heroes returned to Mistas, to plan their defence against this Genocide, whatever it was. But there they hit a problem - Genocide had already begun attacking the city! It was a huge daemon-machine, pulsating flesh and rippling muscle merged with pumping pistons and straining cables. The ferocious beast began dropping strange "Clockwork Replicators", bizarre machines that built strange clockwork knights. It seemed that every time the daemon-beat took damage, it was instantly healed! An inspirational bit of scouting discovered three strange Exodus Recharge Pylons. These weird things constantly recharged and repaired Genocide, and it was obvious they had to be destroyed. What was less obvious was the means by which this should happen. Swords and arrows only raised chips form the stones, or crackling bolts of energy from the energy fields... But before long, someone tried explosion potions! these seemed to work, and the party swiftly destroyed all three pylons... ...then proceeded, after a long and arduous battle, to defeat Genocide once and for all! Reports suggest that the brave warriors were each rewarded magical tickets that allowed them to gain proficiency in any skill! With Genocide dead, it seems
impossible that Exodus will ignore us now. People of Mongbatica - we must
prepare ourselves for the worst:
