On being a Monk (by Father lindis)


Prime skill: Piety (replaces old Taste ID skills)

Holy Spells By Father lindis

To use Holy Spells, the Monk must have the spell written in his Holy spell book, have the required Piety skill level (replacing the old Taste ID skill) and have Tithed gold at a shrine (the same as Chivalry).

Sacrifice 5 5 The caster sacrifices himself for his allies. Where ever damaged, all party members are healed a small percentage of the damage dealt. The caster still takes damage.

Sacred Boon 15 25 The caster's target is surrounded by a divine wind that heals small amounts of lost life over time.

Purge 10 30 The target is cured of all poisons and has all negative stat curses removed.

Touch of Life 20 30 The caster's target is healed by the heavens for a significant amount.

Dampen Spirit 15 30 The caster's enemy is slowly drained of his stamina, greatly hindering their ability to fight or flee.

Divine Focus 15 35 The caster's mind focuses on his divine faith, increasing the effect of his prayers. However the caster becomes mentally fatigued much faster.

Hammer of Faith 20 70 Summons forth a hammer of pure energy blessed with the ability to vanquish undead foes with greater efficiency.

Trial by Fire 25 40 The caster is surrounded by a divine flame that damages the casters enemy when hit by a weapon.

Banish Evil 30 60 The caster calls forth a divine fire to banish his undead or demonic foe from the earth.

Restoration 40 80 The caster's target is resurrected and fully refreshed.

Smite 60 80 The caster call to the heavens to send a deadly bolt of lightning to strike down his opponent.

Angelic Faith 100 80 The caster calls upon the divine powers of the heavens to aid him.


Special Skills:

Making Holy Robes (Warning, can be Habit forming) *Grins*
Tools/resources: sewing kit, cloth.
Skills: With a minimal amount of Tailoring and a moderate amount of Piety, the Monk can make his own Habit.


Making Mead
Tools/resources: A cooking implement, water, honey, boards or logs and a keg tap.
Skills: A moderate amount of Piety.
